The Product of the Week for this week would definitely have to be my Revlon lipgloss in the shade Peach Petal.

This Revlon gloss is a must have! The consistency of the gloss is very thick and moisturizing (No, it isn't sticky!) The color of this gloss itself is a beautiful light peach-nude. In the tube it appears to be a nude gloss with the slightest hint of a peachy-orange tone.

I love to pair this gloss with the following lipsticks/liner:

- Orange Soda by NYX

- Subculture lipliner by MAC

Haul - Inglot Cosmetics!

I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that an Inglot cosmetics store had opened across the way from my workplace. I was actually on my way to Sephora to make a return when I stumbled across Inglot -- and of course I had to walk on in.

I hadn't ever tried anything from their collection, but I know that they have other stores in the US as well. The store reminded me very much of a MAC store. It was black and white themed; very sleek and sharp. I looked to my right, and there was a whole wall dedicated to nail enamels, lip sticks, lip pots and lip liners (with tons or gorgeous colors and finishes.) In the middle was a table full of eyeshadows and pigments, loose shimmer pigments, foundations (mousse, cream and powder), concealers, color correctors, gel eyeliner pots (with a variety of colors), pencil liners, mascaras, blotting powders, blushes (powder, cream and liquid) and highlighters. There was literally too much to choose from. They have such a vast variety of products with various colors and textures. It's so amazing. On the very left side of the wall was the area where you may customize your own palette. They call it the "Freedom System" which allows you to choose a certain palette, the amount of pieces you'd like, and whether you'd like facial powders/highlighters, blush, eyeshadow, lipsticks/concealers, etc. The prices in the store were also extremely affordable! I couldn't resist but get two different palettes and some nail polishes.

^ A palette I made with blush, pressed powder, and three eyeshadows (gold, matte brown, and a chocolate brown with gold shimmer)

^ A palette of six shadows (top row: champage/gold-ish shade, matte brown, matte black; second row: a light silver/taupe shade, matte grey, and a taupe with shimmer)

^ Nail enamels (barbie pink shade; beige/tan nude color. The finishes on these are gorgeous!)

^ A smokey eye I did using the highlighter in my brow bone and inner corner of the eye, matte brown as an accent in my crease, and matte black from my palette on the lid and upward. (please excuse my bush-man brows. lol.)

All in all, I am incredibly please with Inglot cosmetics. The products seem to be of great quality. The shadows that I used lasted me all day and had amazing pigmentation and color pay-off. The prices of their palettes are much less than MAC's, so I will definitely be going back to Inglot when I want some more. The nail varnishes are also wonderful, just one coat of the pink was enough and they aren't streaky at all. I highly recommend this line. It is quickly becoming a favorite of mine! If you have any questions as to which shades I have, please ask! I will gladly let you know -- I just didn't have my palettes on me as I type this.

This foundation was recommended to me through MakeupAlley when I posted on the message boards in regards to getting a similar look as Kim Kardashian's flawless matte skin. (see photo)

A couple of the suggestions were MUFE HD and Estee Lauder Double Wear but this one had the most votes so I decided to give it a try and I am SO glad that I did. 0:)

This foundation gives me a smooth, flawless, matte complexion. I apply this foundation with my MAC 187, MAC 181, or my beauty blender sponge (but I do prefer the latter, it blends in perfectly.) When worn, the color stays the same, no oxidation or turning orange. It really does wear for an extended period of time; even longer than the eight hours it promises! I think that is what I love the most about it -- I've had it on since 11 AM and as I am typing this, it is 2:00 AM and my foundation still looks fresh. Only issue that I have with this is that it does not stay completely matte in my T-Zone, even after setting it with my MAC MSFN and my Thebalm Sexy Mama oil-controling powder... but the shine doesn't come until hours into the wear, and it is minimal. Not that big of a deal.

All in all, this is a fantastic foundation and I highly recommend this if you haven't found your HG matte foundation. It is absolutely gorgeous. I don't know why there isn't any hype with this. It is just amazing! And for $26 USD, you can't go wrong! Now I am really regretting having spent so much money on all of those high-end foundations that I've tried ($42 + up! Yikes!)

MAC Pro Longwear Lip Creme in "Overtime"

MAC describes this color as a "light baby pink" and I think that it's an accurate description.

This lipstick was priced at $16 dollars. It reminds me of my MAC Hue lipstick, but one or two shades darker (may be closer to Creme Cup in color.) The Pro Longwear collection was designed to last up to 12 hours of wear, but unfortunately that was not the case with me. This lipstick faded a bit after an hour of wear. And it removed completely after eating and wiping my lips. The texture is smooth and creamy, but it does get a little dry a short time after giving a more matte appearance. However, I was looking for a baby pink matte color, so this actually worked out!

All in all, I love the color but if you're looking for a longwearing/staining lipstick, this will not do it for you.

Do you apply your foundation with a brush, sponge, or fingers?
It depends on which foundation I am using. If it's my Nars Sheerglow or my Chanel Mat Lumiere, I'll apply with a foundation brush or stippling brush. For my Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse, I use my Beauty Blender sponge. For my Chanel Teint de Innocence, I use the sponge provided with the foundation compact. However,I usually end up blending all of my foundations out with my MAC 187.

3. Do you prime your eyes?
Sometimes. I usually don't do much with the eyes, but when I do, I just use my Smashbox Photofinish primer on my eyes. I know, I know! I don't have an actual eyeshadow primer... but I honestly don't feel the need. I spray on my MAC Fix + after I finish applying my eye look. I'd like to start branching out of my comfort zone and trying more looks on my eyes. Give me some ideas!

4. Concealer first, or after foundation?
I apply my concealer on my facial blemishes before my foundation, but I conceal my dark circles after my foundation.

5. Go for manicures, or manicure yourself?
I love the look of salon-done manicures -- but GIRL! It is an expensive habit, and my fingernails always suffer so after I have taken my acrylics off. Presently, my nails are still re-cooping after having my nails done months ago! And they are so thin! So from now on... manicure myself!

6. Exfoliate lips, face or both?
I'm a big believer in exfoliation. Lips, face, and body!

7. On average, how long does it take you to do your makeup?
On average, about 15-20 minutes. Special occasions, maybe an hour. :X

8. Do you wear makeup everyday and everywhere?
I wear make-up to work and when I'm going out. On my days off, I usually give my face a rest and just apply lip consitioner and lash conditioner.

9. What release are you most excited about? (Makeup)
MAC's Holiday 2010 collection "A Tartan Tale"! It looks divine.

10. What's your weakness? Shoes, purses, clothes, jewelry, eyeshadow, lipstick or other?
Mainly cosmetics and shoes! I do love my handbags though... it's quite close.

11. Do you whiten your teeth?
I used to use to Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal. I still have tons left. I was using them for a good 5 days and didn't see much of a difference, and they were making my teeth sensitive. Instead, I started using the 3D White toothpaste and Crest Whitening mouthwash... and those two are amazing! If I'd have to recommend one item alone, I'd recommend the mouthwash. That alone does wonders, imo!

12. Wax eyebrows, or pluck?
Never waxed. Pluck, sometimes. I usually thread my eyebrows and upper lip though.

13. What do you use to contour?
NARS Casino or TheBalm Bahama Mama.

14. False lashes, or natural?
Natural. Unless I have a special occasion, I won't wear falsies. I have been thinking about getting eyelash extensions though. I'm curious.

15. Favorite makeup brand?
Omg, don't make me choose. I love them all! If I'd have to choose, I guess I would say MAC. Since that is what my vanity consists of mostly...

16. Liquid eyeliner, pencil or gel?
Bobbi Brown longwear gel liner is amazing and literally does not budge. However, I usually opt for a pencil. I save the BB for special occasions.

17. Lipstick, lipgloss or chapstick?
Lipstick. But I do love my gloss!

18. Pigments, pressed or cream eyeshadow?
I have pressed the most. Pigments are too messy for me to deal with. :(

19. If you had to wear only one thing, excluding foundation; what would it be?
Bronzer. I need to have a warm, even complexion.

20. Favorite color?
Blushes = peachy bronze or pink. Lipstick = pinks or nudes.

21. Favorite color combination?
Bronzed skin and a bright cheek (either peach or pink).

22. Natural? or Dramatic? (Eye Makeup)
Usually I wear neutrals but being Middle Eastern I do love a dramatic smokey eye! I need to try them more often.

23. Do you care more for quality or name brand?
Quality, always!

24. Do you enjoy using face masks? If so which ones
Yes! Love them!
- Queen Helene Mint Julep face mask (great for drying out acne; minimizing pores)
- Mario Badescu Whitening Mask (excellent to brighten the complexion when it is lack-luster; fading acne blemishes)

25. What is your current addiction? (example: lipsticks, eyeshadows, earrings..)
At the moment, it's trying new foundations and cream bronzers.

Current Favorites: MAC Blushes

I've always had a love affair with MAC cosmetics. I think it would be safe to say that I have a mini MAC store inside of my bathroom. Most of my MAC products consist of the two beauty products that I love the most: blush and lipstick.

Here are some of my current favorite blushes!

Sweet as Cocoa: This blush does not get the credit that it deserves. It is a sheertone shimmer blush and MAC describes the color as a "brown with pearl". I like to describe it as a deep bronze with just the slightest hint of rose. It gives the most gorgeous, natural bronze glow. I feel like this can double as a blush or bronzer. I used it as both this summer. Next time your at the MAC counter, give it a try!

Peachtwist: This one is also a sheertone shimmer. This blush did for me what Sunbasque did not. As much as I wanted to love Sunbasque, it didn't do any justice on me -- it was dull and didn't give me the glow that I was looking for. Instead I exchanged it for Peachtwist... and I fell in love. It is described as a "golden peach" and I think that is an accurate description. It gives you the prettiest peachy-bronze glow (a la J.LO!) It warms up my complexion so nicely and looks wonderful on my NC40 skintone. This is definitely a must-have for your cosmetic case.

Margin: This one is a frost -- which I think makes you look even more glowy. This one is described as a "peach with golden shimmer" and I describe it as a peachy/gold terracotta shade. This one reminded me of my Melba blush, but with the frosty/glowy finish. It delivers a lovely pick-me-up to lack-luster skin. I wore it last week when I had a terrible cold -- and this baby made my skin look so awake! It was a life savor!

Gingerly: The last bronze/peach blush I am describing, I promise! This one is a sheertone blush that looks more matte. It's nice because it is buildable and it is wonderful when I don't feel like having glowing skin for the day (such as when I have a sparkly smokey eye and want to tone down the rest of my face.) Gingerly really provides a wonderful warmth to the skin. It is a "capri bronze" color. When on, it looks like a dark peachy/bronze. I'd like to think you can also use this color to bronze and contour the face. However, I've only used it as a blush. From what I've read, this beauty pot was a favorite of Kim Kardashian's. ;)

Full Fuschia: This is also considered a frost (like Margin) however, I find it to be more like a matte or sheertone finish. It is a full-force, bright fuschia with particles of blue sparkles through-out. With this babygirl, less is more! Believe me when I say this. I made the mistake of applying a lot to my brush the first time I used this and I ended up looking like a clown. When applied correctly, it gives a hot pink flush to the cheeks as if you were blushing naturally. Because it has such great color pay-off and pigmentation, this blush will probably last me my life time. Also, this blush is a MAC Pro color, but you can still find it now on MAC's site for a limited time. If you are like me and love anything pink, then you will be sure to love this one... as well as my next choice...

Dollymix: Last but not least is this doll of a blush - Dollymix. It is a sheertone shimmer blush, so you can build it up to the color that you desire. It is the girly-girl of all blushes; a pure candy pop of pink that also delivers a glowing sheen. This one is a great addition to any gal's cosmetic collection. I feel that it flatters any skin tone. I wear this when I want to look like, well, a Barbie doll! I know if Barbie were real, Dollymix would surely be her holy grail blush. I love to pair this along with my Victoria's Secret lipgloss in "babydoll". They are a match made in pink heaven.

Review: Sunsilk Black Shine Shampoo!

First off -- this shampoo is ah-ma-zing!!

For all you raven haired gals or brunettes, this is a must try! I had heard about this product from this DIVA doll named Menx (here's her blog: http://liveabsolute.com/) and she was raving about this shampoo. Although, this shampoo is not common in the U.S. It's common in India and Asia but they are two different formulas depending on where you get it from. I opted for the Indian formula because I had read that it was more moisturizing than the Asian formula. So, onto the review! I had originally bought this shampoo because I was going to dye my hair black tonight, but I wasn't able to do so, so I just used it anyway when I showered. When I poured this into my hands I was stunned for a moment... this shampoo is straight black. Like, black goop. But I started massaging it into my hair and the angels were singing to me. :p This stuff has a lovely lather, and it smells very fresh and clean. It also cleans super well but it was moisturizing at the same time, it didn't feel like my ordinary clarifying shampoo. Those can be so drying!

After I got out of the shower was when the music really started to play. It was a breeze blow drying my hair. It didn't get frizz-nasty and poofy like it usually does. It was quite tamed. I then proceeded to straighten my hair with my CHI straightener, and my hair was transformed. While I was still blow drying, I can tell that my hair was darker. It looked about 2 shades darker than usual. It was also so soft, incredibly shiny, and moisturized. I highly recommend this product. You can search for it online but make sure you get the formula made in India! If you don't get it online, check your local Indian market! That's where I purchased mine for only $6.99! STEAL. This shampoo does wonders. I can only imagine how much better this will work when I actually color my hair black. I'm sure it will make it lost so much longer due to the color it deposits!

Small Sephora Haul!

Hey dolls!

Wow, I've been totally lagging on the posts! Sorry about that! Check out my post below though, it's got some great tips on how to be a bronzed goddess for the summer time! ;)

Today I went to my local sephora store and bought some goodies.
- Their Lavender Blotting Tissues
- An eyelash/brow comb
- Their "Kohl Expert" eyeliner in Noir (It's supposed to smear more. I bought it to try an arabesque eye using the kohl and a matte black shadow. Sexy!)

I also got samples of Sephora's Tinted Moisturizer in "Medium" and Clinique's Tinted Moisturizer in "Deep". I'm going to compare them and see which one works out better for me. I may be buying the Clinique if it works out, we have a gift of purchase offer at Macy's! Yay!

Also, I stopped by Gottschalk's today... (I don't know if you've heard, but Gottschalks is closing down soon.) Anyway, I know the counter manager at their Clinique, and she hooked me up with full size bottles of the 7 Day Exfoliating Scrub, Lip glosses, Mascaras, and sample sized perfumes! How awesome is that?! I was so giddy. :D

VS Beauty: How to look like a VS model!

Here’s how to achieve the sexy and glowy Victoria’s Secret look:

Perfect, fresh-looking skin is the mark of a Victoria’s Secret model. Liquid foundation should yield a smooth, light-reflecting finish: apply with a foundation brush and blend well. Apply a hint of bronzer wherever the sun would hit your face naturally (forehead, nose and chin.) Blend it well.

Get a VS model’s flushed, glowy cheeks by using any of the Very Sexy mosaic blushes. They come in a range of gorgeous colors, and I’m a big fan of them myself. Highlight your cheekbones with Very Sexy make-up loose shimmer powder.

For the eyes… false lashes are a MUST. Use individual lashes and put them on with a tweezer. I ‘m a fan of revlon’s individual falsies. For the shadows, you may use any sparkly gold, bronze, or white. Definitely put the white sparkly shadow in the corners of the tear ducts to highlight the shape of your eyes and make them pop. I love the white sparkly shadow by VS called “Dazzle” (Sexy Little Things line).

Lips at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show are usually a glossy soft peach or pink. You can use Very Sexy Perfect lipstick in “Whisper”, a staple at VS shows. Top it off with a matching gloss, like Very Sexy lipgloss in “Sex Appeal” or “Intimate”.

Dust bronzer and self tanner all over your body. I love the Bare bronze collection by Victoria’s Secret. After bronzing, use a glitter puff and apply in your cleavage, legs, collar bone, and arms. I love the Sexy Little Things glitter puff.

With these tips, you’ll be sure to look like you just stepped off of the Victoria’s Secret catwalk. ;)
